#StuffJesusNeverSaid, part 1
“Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2, AMPC
We must look away from everything that distracts. Every day. There are tons of things to distract you, to take away your peace, to take your eyes off of Jesus. We must bring back into focus the only hope for this world. There is no one else with a solution other than Jesus Christ.
As Pastor Ann leads us in communion, take a moment to refocus and fix your gaze on Jesus.
Two things can limit our expectancy: our words and our actions. Change your mindset (your state of mind) to see changes in your world. Believe God can do something great here – and in us. Believe that Jesus is here when we gather. Believe that every time we gather, miracles happen!
This session includes the testimony of a lady who was healed from a lump on her neck. The doctor ran test after test trying to identify it. Two of our altar team members took Session 1 of this series to heart and came EXPECTING someone to be healed. Right before their eyes, the lump disappeared. Hallelujah!
The Great Exchange.
Jesus dealt with sin, giving us the very righteousness of God.
Jesus dealt with sickness and disease.
Jesus dealt with poverty and lack.
