Religious people think the blessings of God come to you based on your performance - how long you pray, how many scriptures you read, etc. However, there is nothing you can do to earn or lose God's blessings. The work was completed by Jesus' finished work of the cross. Now, we simply use our faith to receive the blessings that God has freely and graciously given.
